Allan Barsema

Founder / Board Member

Allan Barsema, is the Founder of One Body Collaboratives. A former Senior Research Associate for Faith Based & Community Initiatives with Northern Illinois University Center for Governmental Studies, Allan has more than 35 years of leadership and management experience in nonprofit and for-profit organizations. As a social entrepreneur Allan has successfully brought together multiple governmental, social services, faith-based, business, educational, and private entities. Mr. Barsema is the Founder of two nationally recognized nonprofit organizations instrumental in the fight against homelessness and poverty: the Carpenter's Place (www.carpentersplace.org), and the MPOWR (www.MPOWR.com) collaborative social services database. In both of these organizations Mr. Barsema was responsible for all aspects of organizational development and operation from initial vision to full implementation. Allan is the author of ‘Bridges to Wholeness’. Allan continues to apply his extensive experience in developing and implementing innovative models utilizing technology and collaborations for the effective delivery of human services.
